The fearsome Honda Tadakatsu 1548 - 1610, one of the legendary Tokugawa Four Heavenly Kings (Tokugawa Shitenno) in service to the Mikawa Daimyo Tokugawa Ieyasu. Although easily identifiable on the battlefield by his striking deer antler helmet, Honda survived many battles unskaved without suffering any significant injuries. This earned him the title 'The Warrior who Surpassed Death itself'. Honda Tadakatsu's katana the Nakatsukasa Masamune survives to this day and is a national treasure.
